Forbes House, Lake County’s shelter for battered women and their children, is looking for volunteers.

 Domestic violence is a crime that affects one-fourth of all families nationwide.  By volunteering, you can become part of the healing process for the victims of domestic violence.

 Volunteers provide support and information to women, help families explore their alternatives, facilitate house activities and help with clerical needs and general organization of the shelter facility.
